Mr. Michael Simpson, Assistant Attaché for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, visited the IP Branch of Taiwan High Prosecutors Office at 10 am, June 25, 2019.

Mr. Michael Simpson, Assistant Attaché for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, visited the IP Branch of Taiwan High Prosecutors Office at 10 am, June 25, 2019. Mr. Simpson was received by Head prosecutor Chen Wen-chi and prosecutors Lo Hsueh-mei and Chung Feng-ling participated in the talks.

Mr. Simpson described his duties as Assistant Attaché first, then learned about the types of IP criminal cases and the procedure of mutual legal assistance (MLA) in Taiwan. Both sides also talked about the connection and cooperation among the police, prosecutors and the Ministry of Justice; shared the practices of criminal investigation. In a pleasant atmosphere, the talks lasted for two hours.
