Answer: Protecting a victim’s rights is, essentially, where a prosecutor’s duty lies; in particular, after initiating public prosecution, prosecutor will be able to help a victim deliver justice. In the case of sexual assault, the prosecutor will stay in close contact with the victim and the agent; should the victim have any opinion, she/he may express so to the court via the prosecutor.
